Cappadocia Turkish Night Show

Cappadocia Turkish Night Show

Turkish Night Show is organized not only to let you experience Turkish culture and traditions but also to have a real entertainment and show after a relaxing Cappadocia day.

Pick up from hotel is at 20:00 in winter and 20:30 in summer and customers we’ll be taken to one of the cave restaurants of Cappadocia where the show is performed.

The show begins with a short, 10 minutes version of Whirling Dervishes Ceremony which will give you an idea about the Sufi way. During the whole night, there will be live music performed by traditional custome wearing performers. After the dervishes, folk dancers come in their local dresses and the dance starts.

The dancers, including the bride and groom, come on the dance floor and perform the traditional way, how a local girl gets married in Turkey. The bride dressed in a beautiful red dress dances in the middle and the groom comes up and put on different shows for her. He first shows how handsome he is, and than how strong he is and finally how rich he is. After rejecting all these shows one by one, the bride accepts to get married with him when the groom tells that his heart beats for her. While they are starting to their wedding dance, all the guests are invited to dance with them, as well.

After a couple of other folk dances from different parts of Turkey, the highlight of the night comes: Belly Dancer! She makes her breath-taking dance and then goes around all the tables to take one man from each table. The men have a great time while they are learning the secrets of belly-dancing with some basic figures. Their wives? Well, it was made sure there were no sharp objects around, before the belly dancer!

After some other dances and shows like fire dance, caucasian dance with knives and drum show, the night ends around 23:30 and we drive you back to your hotel for a deep sleep.

During the night the waiters will serve unlimited soft and alcholic drinks with appetizers. The main course will be lamb with rice, the traditional wedding meal of Turkey.

We were visiting Istanbul & Kusadasi on our Med cruise in May. I booked 2 day tours with Kairos Travel – what a great choice!!
Our 1st port was Istanbul with our guide Özlem who was a wonderful lady. She took us first to the “Blue Mosque” as it was Sunday and it would be closing early for prayer time 12:00. What a beautiful place! Then we went to “Hagia Sophia” and “Topkapi Palace”, such an interesting spot! Özlem was so knowlegable about Turkey. She went out of her way to get us baklava which was very yummy!! We had a lunch near the “Spice Market” and shopped here to get spices, candy and nuts. It was VERY crowded in the market area. A great day in Istanbul with Özlem!!
Next port was a tour of Kusadasi with Seher. She was a great guide, so professional and thoughtful and a wealth of knowledge of Turkey. She was also so cooperative to modify our tour which was very nice of her. Our first visit was “House of the Virgin Mary” which was very peaceful. Then we went to Ephesus which was amazing…so much history here and Seher made it very interesting for all of us. We visited “Terrace Houses” and walked thru the streets of Ephesus. We then drove to Artemis and saw the only remaining column and then back to the port before sailaway time.
In summary, Tuncay was very prompt and cooperative during the planning of my tours. He is a pleasure to deal with and I would certainly recommend this company for any tours in Turkey. We got back to the ship before scheduled time each day with no worries, which was a bonus with traffic in Turkey!! 2 great days with Kairos Travel!!
