Yahya Efendi Mosque is 21 km (13 mile) far to Nevsehir centurum. There are three stairs in front of this mosque, which is one of the Ottoman Works of art belonging to the XVth century. Next to the mosque which was also used as a prison because of the fact that there was not a prison in Urgup in the 1950’ies, there is also a building attached to it in the following centuries for the purpose of education.
The fact that the minaret of the mosque is short and in the appearance of a tower open on the sides is attention grabbing. The structure that is still used as a mosque at the present day is in a status that is open to worship.
